About Me

I'm Jessica. I've been married to my husband, Mike, for 12 years. We have two children, ages 10 and 8. About 6 years ago, my husband and I decided it would be a great idea for him to join the Army. Then we decided it would be an even greater idea for him to join the infantry. Front lines. Yep, great idea. Fortunately for us, even though we don't always include God in our plans, He steps in and takes care of us. We've been at Fort Campbell for the last 6 years and I truly believe it's where we belong. It only took 5 years to come to that conclusion.

I've been in school since 2005, and I'm starting to see the light at the end of a very LONG tunnel. I graduate in May 2011. Yes! I decided a year ago that I wanted to become a nurse. So, I've been pursuing that desire for the last year. I just completed my third semester of nursing school. Only two more to go! At times it can be extremely challenging and I doubt my decision. No matter how stressed I get, for the first time in a long time, I'm finding joy in what I'm striving to do. I truly love it.

This isn't my first blog. I've had several. I'm not sure why, but for some reason I can't seem to stick with it. Well, I've decided to give it another go. In the past my blogging has been random. I usually blog about my family, friends and life in general. I think this blog's purpose will be my life as a military wife and our family's journey through yet another deployment. I know, I'm not very original. I'm just hoping that this blog will serve as an outlet for me and if someone else gets something out of it as well, then fabulous. :) Aaaand here we go.
